Camera Accessories

I know this seems really stupid to ask people over the internet where a physical object is, but worth a try anyways. I'll explain my situation.
My parents and I are currently fighting because my dad's expensive film camera is gone. He just realized it was missing tonight. He said that he thought I had it the whole time since I always borrow it. Which is a little exaggerated. I used it once last year for school, but put it back. My dad was the LAST one who used the camera at my graduation a couple months ago. So I told him that he probably lost it and to stop blaming it on me.

He said that if he did lose the camera, he would accept it. But he said the manuals and other accessories that are with the camera are missing too. I said that maybe someone stole it when he had it that night and my mom said then why didn't the person just take the whole bag too?

What do you think? My parents think i'm literally psychotic and are trying to get to me to think I had it and lost it but won't admit it. but its IMPOSSIBLE. I never used for the past year and my dad was the LAST one who had it? How is this even logical?

My dad is very **** about all his things. Doesn't let anyone touch it, and if something goes wrong he is the first to point fingers. I'm having a hard time believing my dad did not lose it himself. He's 50 years old and with age comes poor memory. Maybe he didn't remember that he left it somewhere?

So what do you guys think? Where should I look? What should I do?
