Though it doesn't offer anything beyond basics, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S2100 is a decent AA-battery-powered entry-level compact.
Camera issue. Why will my camera not turn on without being plugged in when the battery is already full?

I just bought it via Ebay, had one before and loved it.

The person is offering a full refund but I want to know what this could possibly be! He said (of course he did) they checked it before they left and everything is fine.

But how can something with a full battery still need to be plugged in?

You need to call Sony to trouble shoot this ... it may be a known issue.
